A leading healthcare facility in the scenic foothills of North Carolina is seeking a dedicated Director of Case Management to lead its case management and care coordination functions. This position is responsible for overseeing clinical resource utilization, discharge planning, social work, patient advocacy, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and utilization review standards. The role plays a critical part in aligning care delivery with best practices and efficiency targets, particularly regarding medical necessity, resource allocation, and adherence to Geometric Length of Stay (GLOS) benchmarks.
Develop and implement departmental goals and standards aligned with clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical objectives
Direct and evaluate operations including patient care coordination, service quality, and information systems
Lead and monitor hiring, training, evaluation, and professional development of case management staff
Oversee departmental budgets, ensure compliance with financial targets, and coordinate internal/external audits
Integrate evidence-based practices into care management protocols
Promote a culture of accountability, clinical excellence, and continuous performance improvement
Lead initiatives to reduce length of stay and improve discharge efficiency
Ensure compliance with governmental, regulatory, and reporting requirements
Education Requirements:
Associate’s Degree in Nursing (required)
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Master’s in a related field (preferred)
Licenses/Certifications:
Active RN license in the state of North Carolina (required)
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years in a healthcare management or leadership role (preferred)
Estimated Salary Range: $111,300 – $150,238 per year (based on experience and qualifications)
