Position Overview

A reputable acute care hospital in Central North Carolina is seeking a dedicated RN – Quality Clinical Excellence Specialist to support clinical quality initiatives and disease-specific certifications, with a particular focus on Heart Failure and Stroke programs. This role serves as a key resource for data analysis, clinical education, accreditation readiness, and interdepartmental performance improvement efforts.

This is an onsite, non-remote role with no travel required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate quality and compliance initiatives for certifications related to Heart Failure and Stroke care

  • Collect, analyze, and present clinical quality data including core measures, peer review indicators, and occurrence tracking

  • Collaborate with staff and leadership to ensure adherence to accreditation standards and continuous improvement goals

  • Serve as subject matter expert on evidence-based clinical practice guidelines for disease-specific care

  • Lead and support hospital performance improvement teams

  • Educate staff and serve as a resource for clinical departments and leadership

  • Prepare for and participate in survey readiness and accreditation visits

  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounding and support quality orientation for new hires

  • Lead community outreach efforts related to disease-specific initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active RN license (required)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related field (required)

  • 2–3 years of hospital-based clinical experience (required)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification as a Heart Failure Nurse (CHFN)

  • Expertise in treating patients with stroke, heart failure, and chest pain based on clinical practice guidelines

  • Strong skills in data interpretation, presentation development, and performance measurement

Compensation & Benefits

Estimated Salary Range: $58,200 – $78,800 annually (based on experience and qualifications)

Work Location

  • This is a fully onsite position located in Sanford, NC. Remote or hybrid work is not available.
