Position Overview

An established regional healthcare provider is seeking a Market Director of Finance to lead financial operations across multiple hospital and physician practice locations. This executive-level role provides oversight of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and strategy in alignment with organizational values and long-term goals. Ideal candidates will have extensive for-profit hospital finance experience and strong leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the financial operations of multiple acute care and outpatient facilities within the market.

  • Oversee budgeting, accounting, month-end close, financial performance monitoring, and compliance.

  • Lead and develop finance staff, promoting continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Work closely with executive leadership to develop strategic financial goals and business plans.

  • Monitor and ensure alignment of departmental practices with GAAP, regulatory standards, and company policies.

  • Provide financial insight and analysis to support clinical and operational decision-making.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in for-profit hospital finance

  • At least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (preferred)

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license (preferred)

  • Experience managing finances for multi-site hospital operations

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills

  • Ability to work independently and lead under pressure

  • Knowledge of healthcare financial regulations and hospital cost structures
