Position Summary

A regional healthcare provider is seeking a licensed and motivated Physical Therapist to join its rehabilitation team in Henderson, North Carolina. The role involves delivering exceptional patient care across outpatient, inpatient rehab, and acute care settings. The therapist will evaluate, treat, and support patients across a range of diagnoses in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients in an outpatient rehab setting and provide coverage for inpatient and acute care as needed.

  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nurses, and rehab support staff to develop and execute personalized care plans.

  • Submit timely and accurate documentation demonstrating medical necessity and patient progression.

  • Handle insurance prior authorizations as required.

  • Independently manage a busy caseload, while seeking guidance when appropriate.

  • Participate in weekend, holiday, and vacation rotation schedules, coordinated with the Physical Therapy Lead.

  • Attend department meetings, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and uphold compliance standards from CMS, Joint Commission, and Medicaid.

  • Assist with training, orientation, and team-based care coordination activities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy (required)

  • Current North Carolina Physical Therapist License (required)

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with the American Heart Association (required)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT)

  • Previous experience in inpatient rehab and/or acute care settings

  • Strong documentation and time management skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

Compensation & Benefits

Estimated Salary Range: $70,000 – $93,000 (based on experience)Relocation Stipend: Available for eligible candidates (must reside >2 hours from the facility)Signing Bonus: Negotiable
