Our client, a leading building services professional engineering firm in Canada, is seeking a skilled Mechanical/Electrical Project Manager to oversee a diverse range of projects, from tenant fit-ups to high-rise residential buildings. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of the project lifecycle, design, and construction processes, and will be responsible for leading in-house project teams while serving as the primary liaison with clients, other consultants, and construction teams.

With a wide range of clients including architects, building owners, property managers, government agencies, and contractors, the firm handles projects ranging from $50,000 to $50,000,000 in construction value. Operating in a fast-paced and dynamic office environment, the firm employs over 50 professionals and has multiple locations in London, Kitchener, Waterloo, and Kingston.
 
Qualifications
 
Responsibilities:
 
- Manage various mechanical and electrical projects, ranging from tenant fit-ups to high-rise residential buildings
- Oversee all aspects of the project, design, and construction processes
- Lead and manage in-house project teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Act as the primary point of contact and liaison between the client, consultants, and construction teams
- Maintain excellent communication with all stakeholders involved in the projects
- Keep detailed and organized project documentation
- Foster a collaborative environment and bring teams together to ensure successful project outcomes
 
Requirements:
 
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field
- Proven experience in managing mechanical and electrical projects within the construction industry
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical design principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- PMP certification is a plus
