About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Purchasing Manager to join our team at a leading global manufacturing company. This role is pivotal in guiding our purchasing supply chain operations across multiple sites, leading a team of 6-8 professionals. Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Talent Development: Mentor and lead the purchasing team, focusing on talent development and succession planning.
- Supplier & Supply Chain Management: Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, timely delivery, and consistent supply flow. Collaborate with operations for capacity planning.
- Demand & Operational Planning: Design and implement procedures to synchronize incoming demand with operational capabilities, aligning with resource utilization.
- Lean Supply Chain Strategy: Develop and apply lean strategies for materials management to reduce waste and enhance efficiency.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain roles within a manufacturing environment, including team leadership.
- Proven experience in supplier management and collaboration.
Preferred:
- 7 years of supply chain experience with leadership responsibilities in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience with SAP systems.
- Proficiency in developing systems and processes using lean tools.
