Title: NPI Sourcing Manager

Location: Houston, TX

Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as an NPI Manager. This role is pivotal in managing the entire lifecycle of new product introductions, ensuring seamless integration into the market. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain, to achieve successful product launches that meet all time, budget, and quality criteria.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate NPI and VA/VE (Value Added/Value Engineering) sourcing projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective results.
  • Conduct category analysis and facilitate strategic sourcing initiatives to identify optimal cost solutions for projects.
  • Manage project materials cost to align with market and project goals, including sourcing, quoting, and negotiating requirements.
  • Oversee the quoting and sourcing of prototypes and perform comprehensive quote analysis, covering material, tooling, and logistics.
  • Collaborate with materials management to set up stocking plans, minimum order quantities, and system configurations.
  • Develop and implement strategies for sourcing materials and components, ensuring seamless production ramp-up.
  • Drive business unit VA/VE projects, working closely with engineering, category managers, finance, operations, and sales teams.
  • Enhance supplier relationships and facilitate cross-business synergies to improve cost efficiency and market share.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure alignment on product requirements and timelines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in supply chain, procurement, and engineering project management.
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing/engineered environment, interfacing with engineering, sourcing, and program management teams.
  • Experience in executing global supply chain initiatives and strategic planning is highly desirable.
  • Strong background in global procurement and sourcing is preferred.
