Human Resources Manager (New York, NY)

Hybrid (4/1 and 3/2, rotating schedule)

 

We are currently seeking a Human Resources Manager who will develop and administer the agency’s talent acquisition initiatives and provide HR support to all employees. The ideal candidate will have at least 4+ years’ experience in HR for a PR, marketing, or advertising agency and possess strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.

 

Responsibilities:

  • ·         Lead the agency’s partnership with the Professional Employer Organization (PEO) to ensure the agency is maximizing their partnership.
  • ·         Ensure overall HR Compliance with policies and procedures.
  • ·         Lead the agency’s recruitment process on an ongoing basis, proactively sourcing candidates online and interviewing them virtually and/or in-person as necessary.
  • ·         Regularly update the agency’s job listings across all digital channels, including but not limited to LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor and website.
  • ·         Manage the candidate experience by seamlessly guiding them through the interview process, ensuring constant communication and an overall positive experience.
  • ·         Develop appropriate HR staff communications to be shared with staff.
  • ·         Maintain, develop, and implement office policies as necessary.
  • ·         Organize office operations and procedures, and manage general needs of the office including maintenance of supplies, equipment, etc.
  • ·         Coordinate with IT Director on all office equipment needs and communicate to the agency’s President of any changes and/or updates needed with rationale and budget.
  • ·         Manage relationships with recruiters, vendors, service providers, etc., ensuring that all items are billed correctly/approved and submitted to accounting on time.
  • ·         Manage receptionist and part time/temp staff to ensure accurate billing and compliance with company.
  • ·         Create and update company policies and procedures, employee handbook, communications, and all HR documents.
  • ·         Continually identify ways to improve the overall employee experience, employee engagement, and culture.
  • ·         Maintain office floor plans and organizational charts.
  • ·         Coach, counsel, and partner with employees on employee relations and development issues.
  • ·         Develop and implement formalized review process and coach managers through the process.
  • ·         Institute formalized Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) process and execute all PIPs. 
  • ·         Review and provide insightful suggestions on salary increases/promotions. 
  • ·         Provide honest and direct feedback through regular one-on-one meetings and reviews of performance against goals.
  • ·         Manage offer and onboarding process and ensure all forms are updated and reviewed regularly. 
  • ·         Ensure all new employees are provided with appropriate resources.

 

Qualifications: 

  • ·         A minimum of 4 years of experience in Human Resources
  • ·         Bachelor’s Degree
  • ·         Ability to lead and maintain large recruitment pipeline
  • ·         Knowledge of New York State employment laws, HR practices, and government/compliance regulations
  • ·         Possesses humility
  • ·         Strong interpersonal skills
  • ·         Experience with PEO a plus

Annual Compensation Range $75,000-100,000.
