Director of Social Media & Marketing 

 

Rubenstein Public Relations (RPR), named to the 2021 Forbes List of America’s Best PR Agencies, is expanding and has an immediate opening for a talented and dynamic Director of Social Media and Marketing.

 

Led by Richard Rubenstein, recently named to the PoliticsNY & amNY Metro Power Players in Public Relations & Lobbying, RPR is a full-service communications agency with more than 30 years of experience specializing in media relations and brand building. We have built a reputation representing a clientele comprised of well-respected names in real estate, fintech, biopharmaceuticals, consumer brands, technology, healthcare, energy, mining, and entertainment. Our firm prides itself on forging partnerships with our clients and providing focused business solutions that support management, sales, and marketing. Our resolve for generating media is as focused as the business strategies we provide. Our campaigns do not function in vacuums.

 

The RPR headquarters are centrally located at 1330 Avenue of the Americas in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, between 53rd and 54th streets near mass transit. Our office is a place of collaboration where we provide team members with tactical and creative feedback. This environment promotes innovation and fosters campaign success from inception through execution.

 

Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a Director of Social Media & Marketing who will be responsible for planning, developing, and executing RPR’s marketing and social media strategies. The ideal candidate will have at least 5-7 years’ experience in social media at a PR or marketing agency and possess strong interpersonal skills and creativity. Please note that this an in-office role Monday through Thursday with the option of working remotely on Fridays. 

 

Responsibilities:  

·         Deploy comprehensive strategies that use social media marketing techniques to increase visibility and traffic for the agency’s social media platforms. 

·         Maintain RPR’s primary social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram) as well as other owned digital channels. 

·         Oversee the design, production, and publication of the agency’s web-based and printed materials. 

·         Monitor trends in social media tools, trends and applications and appropriately apply that knowledge to RPR’s social media channels as well as those of the agency’s clients. 

·         Service social media accounts on an as-needed basis. 

·         Identify and secure reputation-building and thought leadership opportunities for the firm’s President and senior-level executives. 

·         Submit industry award nominations for the agency’s client work.  

·         Maintain exceptionally high standards with a desire to do great work, while functioning in a multi-task, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. 

·         Optimize content with SEO best practices and analytics tools. 

 

Qualifications: 

·         A minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in social media and/or marketing 

·         Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations and/or other related fields 

·         Possesses a strong working knowledge of traditional, digital, earned, and owned content 

·         Strategic thinker and adept project manager 

·         Understanding of analytics and SEO methodology 

·         Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
