Outstanding opportunity for a driven industrial sales professional who is looking for autonomy and long-term career growth with an industry leader. The Southeast District Sales Manager drives sales, strategy, and customer relationships within NC, SC, TN, MS, AL, GA, and FL for major accounts.

The successful candidate will be a driven hunter who is self-motivated and possesses a mix of technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills to understand customers’ needs, identify and capitalize on opportunities, and close deals. Experience selling complex industrial or electrical products is a must.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead all sales efforts within assigned region, consistently developing growth strategies within your market and achieving sales goals by aggressively seeking out opportunities to increase sales.
  • Develop expert-level product and category knowledge to be a true consultative partner to customers and provide best fit solutions that lead to long-term relationships. Build industry and product expertise to build lasting, long-term customer and partner relationships and deliver value.
  • Provide world-class customer service to maintain high customer satisfaction levels while mitigating, solving, and preventing issues. Manage relationships with distributors to ensure continuity in fulfillment and service quality.
  • Deliver relevant, complete, and timely information to customer service and inside sales to support top-tier service to customers throughout the quotation and order processing stages.
  • Collect VOC data and partner with engineering and product management to develop new products based on customer needs and requests.
  • Complete and submit reports, data requests, and other assignments as needed in support of region.
  • Regularly travel to customers within the region and occasionally travel to the company’s US HQ, and to relevant industry events.

Requirements:

  • Must live in a major metro area within the territory (NC, SC, TN, MS, AL, GA, or FL).
  • Bachelor’s degree required; technical or electrical engineering field a plus.
  • Proven knowledge of technical and/or electrical products and industry terms with a record of success in industrial product sales. Ability to present effectively to technical (engineers) and non-technical (purchasing) audiences.
  • Tenacious “hunter” who translates data into opportunities and follows through to close sales and create long-term customers. Highly motivated and resourceful with a strong results orientation.
  • Commitment to learning products, industries, and markets to become a subject matter expert.
  • Outstanding presentation, listening, verbal, and written communication skills with strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to travel 50% within region (25-30% overnight), with occasional travel to training, industry events, and company headquarters.
