Our client, an AmLaw 100 firm with a strong global presence, is seeking a skilled Labor & Employment Attorney to join its Boston office in a salaried, non-partnership track role. This position offers a reduced billable hour target and the opportunity to work on sophisticated employment matters for high-profile clients within a collaborative and supportive environment.
Candidate Profile
JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
Active Bar Admission in Massachusetts, in good standing.
Attorneys without Massachusetts bar admission will be considered on the condition they obtain admission within the 1st year of employment.
5+ years of substantive experience in employment litigation and counseling.
Litigation Expertise: Significant experience managing employment litigation, including drafting pleadings, managing discovery, negotiating with opposing counsel, and arguing motions in court.
Client Counseling: Strong background advising clients on employment law compliance, risk mitigation, internal policies, and workplace disputes.
Experience with higher education and Title IX is a plus.
Soft Skills: Excellent research, writing, case management, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to take initiative and independently manage cases and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Represent clients in state and federal court, as well as before administrative agencies and arbitrators.
Provide day-to-day counsel to employers on a variety of workplace matters, including internal investigations, employment policies, compliance strategies, and risk mitigation.
Support clients in the higher education sector, including advising on Title IX compliance and related institutional policies, where applicable.
Work closely with partners and clients, delivering timely and strategic legal guidance in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborate across practice areas to provide comprehensive and business-aligned legal solutions.
