LITIGATION OF COUNSEL ATTORNEY – (PRODUCT LIABILITY/DAUBERT FOCUS)

A top-10 AmLaw firm is seeking a seasoned Litigation Of Counsel with extensive experience in Daubert and Rule 702 motion practice, particularly in the pharmaceutical and medical device space. This is a high-impact opportunity for an exceptional litigator to take a central role in complex product liability matters at a top-tier national firm.

 

 

Candidate Profile

  • JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.

  • Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction, in good standing.

    • New York-barred candidates preferred.

  • 8+ years of substantive litigation experience.

  • Expertise in drafting and arguing Rule 702 / Daubert motions and managing litigation strategy in product liability cases.

  • Background in pharmaceutical and/or medical device industry litigation is strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex discovery, communicate effectively with clients and co-counsel, and supervise junior associates.

  • AmLaw Experience: Relevant experience at an AmLaw 100 firm is strongly preferred.

  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, writing, and strategic thinking skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft and oversee complex legal memoranda, briefs, motions, and discovery responses.

  • Develop and execute strategy for Daubert / Rule 702 challenges and other critical motion practice.

  • Engage with clients and experts to manage factual development and expert testimony.

  • Supervise and mentor associates throughout all stages of litigation.

  • Participate in depositions, client strategy sessions, and overall case management.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive Compensation: Annual base salary is expected to range from $400,000 – $500,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and market factors. Discretionary bonus opportunities are also available.
