SENIOR ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY / COUNSEL - FINANCE

Our client, a leading global AmLaw 50 law firm, is seeking a talented Sr. Associate Attorney or Counsel to join their high-performing Global Finance practice in Boston. This is an exciting opportunity to practice at the intersection of private credit, fund finance, and collateralized loan obligations (CLOs), and to work with market-leading clients in one of the most innovative finance groups in the country.

 

 

Candidate Profile:

  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
  • Active Bar Admission in Massachusetts, in good standing.
  • 6+ years of substantive experience in finance transactions, including structured finance and/or private credit.
  • Demonstrated experience representing borrowers, lenders, private equity sponsors, and/or agents in complex financing transactions.
  • Proven ability to independently manage transactional negotiations from due diligence through closing, acting as a key deal team member.
  • Exposure to CLOs, fund finance, NAV-based lending, subscription credit facilities, or other structured credit products.
  • Strategic thinker with a collaborative approach and the ability to work across disciplines and client industries.
  • Soft Skills: Strong legal writing, communication, and oral advocacy skills, alongside sound business acumen, are essential.
 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients—ranging from global asset managers and direct lenders to private equity sponsors and investors—in complex structured finance and private credit transactions.

  • Lead key aspects of deal execution, including due diligence, structuring, negotiation, and documentation.

  • Advise on a wide array of financial products, including CLOs, asset-based loans, NAV facilities, and subscription line credit facilities.

  • Work directly with clients on market trends, deal strategy, and innovative product development.

  • Collaborate with attorneys across the firm’s finance, funds, and regulatory groups to deliver integrated and commercial solutions.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive Salary: $390,000+, commensurate with experience and class year.
