LABOR & EMPLOYMENT COUNSEL ATTORNEY

Our client, an international AmLaw 50 law firm, is seeking an experienced Counsel Attorney to join its nationally-recognized Labor & Employment Practice in DC or NY. This is an outstanding opportunity to provide strategic and high-level counsel on complex workplace issues while supporting a sophisticated litigation practice that serves leading employers across industries.

 

 

Candidate Profile

  • JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
  • Active Bar Admission in the applicable jurisdiction, in good standing
  • 6+ years of substantive experience in labor and employment law and/or complex litigation
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state labor and employment laws
  • Experience providing advice on workplace law issues, including wage and hour compliance, employee relations, risk mitigation, employment agreements, reductions in force, ADA and workplace accommodations, and employment-related policies
  • Demonstrated excellence in legal research, writing, and analytical reasoning
  • Proven ability to manage multiple matters and deliver practical, business-oriented solutions
  • Commitment to collaboration, professionalism, and superior client service
 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide counsel to employers on all aspects of workplace law, including compliance, policies, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Support and manage litigation matters involving employment disputes, wage and hour claims, discrimination, and wrongful termination
  • Advise on employment-related issues arising in corporate transactions, including due diligence and integration planning
  • Draft and review employment agreements, handbooks, and internal policies
  • Represent clients before federal and state courts, administrative agencies, and arbitration panels
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on emerging labor and employment law developments
  • Collaborate with colleagues across practice groups to deliver integrated client service

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $390,000+ annually, as determined by experience and market factors
