ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY / FINANCE / MID-LEVEL

 

Location: Boston, MAHYBRID

 

 

Our client, a leading global AmLaw 50 law firm, is seeking a talented Associate Attorney to join their high-performing Global Finance practice in Boston. This is an exciting opportunity to practice at the intersection of private credit, fund finance, and collateralized loan obligations (CLOs), and to work with market-leading clients in one of the most innovative finance groups in the country.

 

 

Candidate Profile

  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
  • Active Bar Admission in Massachusetts, in good standing.
  • 2–4 years of substantive finance/transactional experience.
  • Proven ability to handle transactional negotiations from due diligence through closing, acting as a key deal team member.
  • Prior experience with securitization, structured finance, CLOs, or subscription credit facilities is helpful, but not required.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a specific desire to expand their practice in the areas of CLOs, fund finance, and private credit.
  • Strategic thinker with a collaborative approach and the ability to work across disciplines and client industries.
  • Soft Skills: Strong legal writing, communication, and oral advocacy skills, alongside sound business acumen, are essential.
 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients—ranging from global asset managers and direct lenders to private equity sponsors and investors—in complex fund finance, structured finance, securitizationand private credit transactions.

  • Support key aspects of deal execution, including due diligence, structuring, negotiation, and documentation.

  • Advise on a wide array of financial products, including CLOs, asset-backed securities, and subscription line credit facilities.

  • Stay current on market trends, deal strategy, and innovative product development.

  • Collaborate with attorneys across the firm’s finance, funds, and regulatory groups to deliver integrated and commercial solutions.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive Salary: $235,000+, commensurate with experience and class year.
