Our client, a prominent AmLaw 200 firm, is seeking a talented Associate Attorney to join their growing Litigation and Appellate Practice Group. This role is open to any of the firm’s offices and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to high-impact litigation matters while working closely with accomplished appellate and trial attorneys on complex legal issues and cutting-edge case strategy.

Candidate Profile

• JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction, in good standing.
• 4–6 years of substantive appellate and trial support experience.
• Prior judicial clerkship experience is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to argue legal motions, handle appellate oral arguments, participate in charge conferences, and preserve the record during trial proceedings.
• Extensive experience drafting appellate briefs, dispositive motions, and trial memoranda.
• Capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a high-pressure litigation setting.
• Soft Skills: Strong legal research, analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills. The ideal candidate has excellent judgment, professionalism, and client service orientation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare appellate briefs, dispositive motions, jury instructions, and post-trial motions for high-stakes litigation matters.
• Serve as an integral member of trial teams, focusing on issue preservation, legal strategy, and appellate record development.
• Argue motions and appeals in state and federal courts.
• Collaborate with trial counsel to develop legal arguments and strategy in complex litigation.
• Analyze trial records and identify key issues for appeal and dispositive motions.
• Support internal and external clients with high-level legal analysis, offering clear, actionable advice.
• Contribute to mentorship of junior attorneys and participate in thought leadership and client development initiatives.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive compensation: includes an annual salary range of $155,000-$205,000, determined by experience and market factors, alongside eligibility for profit-sharing and a discretionary bonus.
