Job Title: Sr. Director, Product & Government Relations

Role Summary

We are looking for seasoned Sr. Director, Product & Government relations to join our team! You will lead research efforts to identify new technologies to improve current product offerings or create new products and services. Bring your knowledge of the FAA structure, ODA, PMO and Air Safety functions to communicate with the FAA, NTSB, foreign governments and certification entities. This onsite position is located in Florida and would require relocation, if necessary, with relocation assistance.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing technical and program guidance to the IPT's Review and approve major program timelines from inception.
  • Review, monitor, and take corrective action in team failing to meet set objectives.
  • Track metrics, goal completion, projects delivered on time, quality, budget controls, and people functions. 
  • Report on engineering activities regularly to the Sr. Management Team.
  • Ensure adherence to standards in Environmental, Health and Safety, engineering, and quality.
  • Responsible for keeping a competitive edge by remaining updated on the industry's best practices, industry benchmarks, and identify possible opportunities and upcoming challenges.
  • Perform other duties assigned

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in field of Engineering required, Masters preferred.
  • 15+ years' experience in aviation manufacturing.
  • Pilot license and ability to fly solo required.
  • Exceptional project management skills with supplier knowledge and experience.
  • Knowledge and technical understanding of aviation manufacturing process, components, and design techniques.
  • Demonstrated capability to lead a multi-divisional large-scale business.
  • Report directly to CEO.
