The Manufacturing Engineer plays a critical role in delivering high-quality products. This is a hands-on position, with significant time spent on the production floor supporting internal manufacturing teams. The role leverages technical expertise to implement lean principles, eliminate waste, and improve internal processes.
 
Duties: Including but not limited to: 
  • Collaborate with employees and managers to promote safety and lean manufacturing practices.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of manufacturing technology, equipment, processes, and engineering drawings.
  • Create and enhance manufacturing processes in alignment with company standards.
  • Develop and maintain engineering control documents.
  • Provide technical support for production equipment and processes.
  • Interpret and apply drawing specifications to components and assemblies.
  • Support production teams by verifying proper documentation and adherence to established procedures.
  • Perform hands-on work with machinery, fixturing, and tooling to address production needs.
  • Provide input and conduct research on new machinery and equipment that align with business objectives.
 
Qualifications: 
  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in Design, Manufacturing, or Process Engineering.
  • Experience with 3D modeling (SolidWorks experience is a plus).
  • Background in process control and automation design.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Acumatica experience is a plus).
  • Familiarity with steel fabrication processes such as laser cutting, stamping, CNC sawing, and robotic welding.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
  • Excellent planning and communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks effectively.
  • Positive attitude and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
  • Forging experience is a plus.
  • Direct hands-on experience with industrial equipment is a plus.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Work performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to varying temperatures (hot, cold, humid), moving mechanical parts, dust, fumes, chemicals, and loud noises. Noise levels can be high, and vibration levels are moderate.
