Are you passionate about developing and supporting cutting-edge control systems in real-world applications? Join our team as a Systems Engineering Technician, where you will play a key role in the development, testing, product release, and troubleshooting of advanced control systems. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on complex field issues and improve internal processes, ensuring that our products deliver exceptional performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead installations at Beta sites, continuously monitoring and documenting performance, issues, and corrective actions.
  • Assist with product and system-level testing, reporting issues, and suggesting corrective actions.
  • Provide technical support to the Services team, including issue write-ups and coordination of issue resolution with engineering and development teams.
  • Lead training sessions for the Services team on new product or feature releases.
  • Participate in design efforts involving interactions between multiple products, such as alarms, notifications, and firmware upgrades.
  • Collaborate on creating interfaces between products and third-party systems, such as DMX controls.
  • Help design and specify internal processes to support various departments, including engineering, production, and services.
  • Support product release and launch activities being executed by PDE, Applications Eng., CLC, IT, Services, and Marketing. Activities would include the creation/modification of
    • Factory commissioning processes and data, and
    • Field commissioning processes and data.
  • Assist in testing and resolving complex field issues that involve multiple product interactions.Perform other related duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with control products is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with common field troubleshooting test and measurement equipment (e.g., multi-meters, power analyzers, megger).
  • Basic knowledge of networks and communications (RS485, RS232, TCP/IP, etc.).
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Strong analytical ability and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and issue resolution.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear and effective reporting.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deal with priority changes effectively.Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with leadership.
 
Other Special Requirements:
  • Up to 5% travel may be required, including trips to job sites, seminars, corporate and manufacturing facilities, and vendor locations.
  • Overtime may be required, including weekends, as needed.
