Join our team as a Technician, where you’ll play a key role in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced vision-based and mechanical systems in outdoor sports venues. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of technology, supporting system development from beta testing through full deployment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain vision-based and mechanical systems in outdoor sports facilities and lab environments.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software systems at client locations to ensure optimal performance.
  • Work with engineers and technicians to test new technologies, gather feedback, and enhance deployed systems.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools to evaluate and resolve issues in electronics, networking, and software components.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and facility managers to integrate and maintain advanced technology solutions.
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support, including training end-users on system setup and operation.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting processes.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices to enhance system performance and reliability.
 
Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or technical certifications in electronics, computer science, or related fields preferred.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, particularly with new and developing technologies, is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work at heights (up to 120 feet) using aerial lifts or climbing with proper safety equipment.
  • Valid Iowa driver’s license required for travel to work sites.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, networking protocols, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Experience with vision-based technology and its integration into lighting and advanced systems is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, diagnostic tools) for system checks.
  • Skilled in using hand tools (soldering, crimping, drilling, cutting, tapping) for installations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing technical issues efficiently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interactions and technical documentation.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% for on-site installations and beta site visits.
