The Electrical Engineer will be a key member of the Innovation Team, focusing on research and development of new products for international markets, including animal feed, oilseed processing, green energy, and emerging sectors. This role offers the opportunity to influence the design, development, and testing of complex electro-mechanical prototype systems.
Duties: Including but not limited to:
Select and integrate electrical components such as sensors, actuators, motors, and control devices to ensure system compatibility and functionality.
Design and develop electrical systems by analyzing requirements, creating conceptual designs, and developing detailed plans to meet performance, reliability, and safety standards.
Conduct testing and validation, including developing experiments, performing tests, and analyzing data to evaluate system performance.
Stay up to date with advancements in electrical engineering and related technologies through continuous learning and professional development.
Troubleshoot electrical system issues using testing, inspection, and diagnostic techniques.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (mechanical aptitude is highly valued).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical system design and product development.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for electrical systems in explosive environments (ISO, UL, NFPA).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a global team in a fast-paced environment.
Prefer experience in industrial equipment design.
Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor Pro, AutoCAD Electrical) is a plus.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Programming and control logic experience is highly desirable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% as needed.
