Join our team as an Electronics Component Engineer, where you will specify, evaluate, and integrate electronic components into lighting products. This position offers a great opportunity to apply your technical expertise and work collaboratively across teams to ensure quality, reliability, and performance in cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise in the selection, evaluation, and integration of active and passive electronic components for lighting products.
  • Collaborate with compliance teams to ensure that components meet industry ratings and certifications.
  • Assist with testing, verification, and validation procedures to ensure the reliability and performance of selected components.
  • Evaluate alternative components as needed to meet project specifications and cost goals.
  • Coordinate efforts across product lines, working with R&D, purchasing, manufacturing, and quality teams.
  • Ensure components and suppliers meet established quality and reliability standards.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support product development and team needs.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Material Science, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of experience in electronics product development.
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, concepts, and theories.
  • Proficiency in using test and measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, multi-meters, etc.).
  • Knowledge of UL, CSA, and NEC standards as they pertain to component selection.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexibility to manage changes in priorities and tight deadlines.
