Our client is looking for a Desktop Support Engineer who will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to the IT department and end-users. This role involves coordinating IT team, managing IT inventory, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and services. The Desktop Support Engineer will also assist in troubleshooting technical issues and implementing IT policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
  • Troubleshoot technical problems and escalate issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and applications.
  • Maintain and update inventory of IT equipment, software licenses, and assets.
  • Perform maintenance tasks, such as system updates, backups, and security checks.
  • Monitor system performance and identify potential issues or areas for improvement.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on IT systems, software, and applications.
  • Develop and maintain user guides and documentation to assist users in resolving common technical issues.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and IT best practices.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3-5years of experience in a technical support or IT coordination role.
  • Experience with computer hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and IT management tools.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Entra AD, Intune.
  • Knowledge of VMware and Veeam backup technologies.
  • ITIL certification or other relevant certifications.
  • Experience with IT project management and coordination.
  • Knowledge of IT security principles and practices.
