Are you a highly skilled patent agent with a passion for intellectual property and life sciences?
Our client, an AmLaw 100 and Vault 100 law firm, is seeking an experienced Patent Agent to join its thriving practice in Atlanta, New York, or Philadelphia. This is a unique opportunity to work with a team of top-tier IP professionals on cutting-edge technologies in the life sciences sector.
Graduate degree in a biological science is required - molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, or genetics preferred.
Admission to the patent bar is required.
5+ years of substantive patent prosecution experience, with a strong focus on life sciences.
Strong academic credentials and excellent references.
Experience in IP diligence, IP-transfer commercial transactions, and strategic IP business counseling.
An entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to contribute to business development initiatives.
Assist in patent prosecution, including drafting and responding to office actions.
Provide strategic IP business counseling to clients in the life sciences industry.
Conduct due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and licensing deals involving IP assets.
Collaborate with attorneys and scientists to develop comprehensive intellectual property strategies.
Support IP-transfer commercial transactions and negotiations.
Stay up to date with evolving patent laws and regulations.

The firm offers competitive compensation with a salary range of $125,000 - $175,000, commensurate with experience, opportunities to earn bonuses, along with a comprehensive benefits suite.
