Position: Warehouse and Distribution Manager- AL

Your Unique Role:

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the completecycle of material flow, from the purchase and internal control of production materials,to the planning and control of WIP, to the warehousing, distribution, and shipping ofthe finished product• Manage and oversee warehouse activities and staff, including shipping,receiving, picking, material movements, etc. Determining appropriatestaffing levels to load, unload, move, and store materials• Coordinate cycle count programs and physical inventories and developand maintain accuracy of both activities.• Work in conjunction with customer service, sales, and accounting toresolve issues related to customer orders, invoices, shipping, andstocking agreements• Use appropriate business practices to develop the most cost effectiveand reliable primary vendors and develop appropriate secondaryvendor sourcing as necessary to maintain production operations.• Negotiate best cost utilization of capital expenditures, contracts, andother non-standard items such as rentals and leases.• Participate in the development of specifications for equipment,products, or substitute materials.• Maintain timely and accurate entry of customer orders and schedulingrequirements within the ERP system. Develop and distribute accuratedata reports from ERP related to orders, production, scheduling, scrap,efficiencies, etc. for use by internal management to developopportunities for continual improvement.

What we are looking for:

 

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or related field, preferred• 5+ years of materials experience• 5+ years of supervision/management experience• Experience with inventory management systems• Knowledge of ERP software (QAD or SAP is ideal)• Proven track record of effective leadership and managementCommunity Information: Cullman, Alabama
