Position Overview

The Manager of Indirect Lending oversees all aspects of dealership-based indirect auto lending. This leader will manage and grow a top-performing dealer network, optimize loan origination processes, maintain credit quality, and drive profitability through strong industry relationships and strategic decision-making. The role requires significant relationship management, analytical strength, and the ability to lead a high-performing team.

Primary Responsibilities

Dealer Relationship Management

  • Build, sustain, and expand relationships with auto dealerships to increase loan volume and maintain consistent, high-quality originations.

Dealer Network Development

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new dealerships aligned with the bank’s indirect lending strategy.

  • Provide ongoing training and support for successful program adoption.

Performance Monitoring & Strategy

  • Analyze dealership trends, production metrics, credit performance, and market conditions.

  • Recommend pricing strategies, product enhancements, and growth initiatives.

Team Leadership

  • Manage staff involved in indirect lending operations.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement.

Compliance & Risk Awareness

  • Ensure all activities comply with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and credit-risk protocols.

Required Skills & Certifications

  • Strong leadership and relationship management skills

  • Deep understanding of dealership operations and auto finance

  • Proficiency in credit risk assessment and pricing models

  • Excellent communication and analytical skills

  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel

  • Basic proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint

Position Details

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $135,000 – $155,000

  • Full-Time

  • Full Benefits

  • Experience: 10–15 years

  • Seniority: Mid–Senior Level

  • Management Experience: Not required

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree

  • Travel: Occasional
