Overview:A fast-growing technology company is seeking a strategic and hands-on Head of Engineering to lead its software development and platform integration efforts. This leader will drive the unification of multiple platforms, foster innovation, and lead a high-performing engineering team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the company’s technical roadmap, with emphasis on system integration, scalability, and long-term architecture.

  • Provide architectural direction and hands-on technical leadership across all stages of development.

  • Manage, mentor, and scale a small agile engineering team, cultivating a culture of accountability, innovation, and performance.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build robust, scalable software solutions.

  • Oversee infrastructure design, sprint planning, and third-party system integrations.

  • Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to enhance platform capabilities and efficiency.

  • Ensure engineering goals align with overall business strategy to drive operational success and sustainable growth.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated success in engineering leadership roles within high-growth, agile environments.

  • Strong technical expertise with modern stacks (e.g., Laravel, PHP, MySQL, .NET, Angular, AWS).

  • Experience with transactional and payment systems, such as POS integrations or financial platforms.

  • Hands-on leader capable of contributing to architecture decisions, sprint planning, and code review.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.

  • Strong communicator with experience working closely with executive stakeholders and cross-functional peers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with tools such as Stripe, QuickBooks Online, or similar payment/ERP systems.

  • Experience in software consolidation or technology integration following M&A.

  • Industry background in consumer tech, hospitality, or location-based services.

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
