Maintenance Manager

Our Award Winning Client, a nationally recognized manufacturing leader, operates multiple facilities across the United States and has earned numerous industry awards for operational excellence, safety, and performance. They are actively seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee all aspects of maintenance, repair, and improvement initiatives at their 465,000 sq. ft. facility.

This leadership position is ideal for a candidate with deep mechanical knowledge, strong team leadership skills, and a drive to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and develop a maintenance team consisting of 20 direct and 15 indirect personnel, fostering accountability and performance.

  • Lead facility-wide equipment maintenance and repairs while managing vendor partnerships and controlling maintenance-related costs.

  • Apply advanced technical skills, functioning at a master-level mechanic proficiency. Must possess expertise in general maintenance, welding, pneumatics, motor controls, wiring, and PLC programming.

  • Maintain operational systems including refrigeration and electrical systems (1–3 years minimum experience required).

  • Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize system uptime and reliability.

  • Ensure ongoing compliance with USDA regulations, HACCP standards, sanitation protocols, and pre-operational procedures.

  • Coordinate project planning and execution, including weekend rebuilds and vendor-driven M&R initiatives.

  • Track and analyze maintenance KPIs, including cost-per-pound and Maintenance & Repair (M&R) budget performance. Familiarity with Agristats or similar tools is required.

  • Oversee facility infrastructure including HVAC and utility systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Maintenance, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent hands-on experience).

  • Minimum of 7 years in progressive maintenance management roles within a manufacturing environment, with preference for food or poultry processing.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage large teams, including prior experience overseeing 2 or more direct reports and 87 or more indirect personnel.

  • Deep knowledge of industry safety standards, regulatory compliance, and technical systems performance.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and financial acumen in cost tracking and analysis.

  • Possesses advanced general maintenance skills, welding, pneumatics, wiring, motor controls, PLC
