QualificationsRequired:

  • Associate degree or higher in Nursing

  • Valid RN license in Illinois (IL)

  • Minimum of 1 year of professional RN experience (Hospice preferred)

  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance

  • Certification in AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) or AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (if not current, support will be provided)

  • Willingness to travel throughout the local area as part of the position

Preferred:

  • Experience in Hospice, Palliative Care, or End-of-Life Nursing

  • Please provide your RN license number if available

OverviewOur Award Winning Client is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality Hospice care in patients’ homes across the Evanston area and Northern Illinois. This full-time, salaried role offers flexible weekday hours and a supportive, collaborative work environment. You will play a vital role in improving the lives of patients and families by ensuring comfort, dignity, and comprehensive care during critical times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing care to Hospice patients in accordance with the care plan

  • Monitor, assess, and document patient symptoms, response to treatment, and comfort levels

  • Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, social workers, and chaplains

  • Educate patients and families on the care process, medications, and end-of-life planning

  • Travel to patient homes within the assigned territory (mileage reimbursement provided)

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and condition

  • Participate in a supportive on-call rotation and weekend coverage

Schedule and Shift Details

  • Monday–Friday full-time schedule

  • 1 weekend/month, with 24-hour on-call shift (Saturday 8 AM – Sunday 8 AM)

  • 2 holidays/year required (1 in summer, 1 in winter)

  • No overnight shifts during the week – flexibility without long shifts

Compensation & Bonus Opportunities

  • $15,000 First Year Success Bonus, paid out quarterly

  • Salaried position (not PPV)
