Technology Risk Solutions Manager

Position Overview

The Technology Risk Solutions Manager plays a pivotal role within the FinPro Process and Controls team. This individual contributor position is responsible for identifying and evaluating SOX and operational IT risks, implementing IT General Controls (ITGCs), and enhancing risk governance frameworks. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams across IT, Finance, and Audit to assess risks, design control solutions, and oversee remediation efforts for control gaps.

Key Responsibilities

Risk Management and Assessment

  • Identify and evaluate SOX and operational IT risks within IT and business processes.
  • Design and implement IT General Controls (ITGCs), IT automated controls, and business controls to address identified risks.
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive risk governance frameworks in alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor regulatory updates and emerging technologies, assessing their impact on IT and business controls.
  • Evaluate SOC 1/SOC 2 reports for third-party applications and guide the implementation of Complementary User Entity Controls (CUEC).
  • Facilitate control deficiency remediation and provide ongoing guidance throughout the remediation lifecycle.

Project Management

  • Manage the lifecycle of product risk management for enterprise initiatives.
  • Coordinate the design and testing of control activities, collaborating with internal and external auditors for new technologies.
  • Integrate IT controls into the system development lifecycle (SDLC) in collaboration with IT development teams.

Collaboration and Leadership

  • Work closely with IT, Finance, and Audit teams to monitor and enhance IT and business controls.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on risk frameworks and standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure alignment of risk and control strategies.

Risk Reporting and Monitoring

  • Prepare risk assessment reports for IT and business leadership.
  • Utilize tools like Archer and ServiceNow for ongoing risk monitoring and reporting.
  • Communicate risk management solutions clearly and effectively to diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Accounting, Auditing, or a related field.
  • 4-7 years of experience in IT governance, SOX compliance, and operational risk management.
  • Proficiency in IT General Controls (ITGCs), IT automated and business controls, and SOX compliance processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree or certifications such as CISA or CISSP.
  • Experience with industry frameworks like COBIT or ISO 27001.
  • Familiarity with GRC tools (e.g., Archer, ServiceNow), cloud technologies, and DevOps tools.
  • Experience in risk assessment for agile SDLC methodologies and ERP systems.

Candidate Details

  • Experience Level: 5+ years of relevant experience in IT governance and compliance.
  • Management Experience: Not required.
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
