IT Manufacturing Project Leader

Location: Davenport, Iowa, United States (100% Onsite

Position Summary

The IT Manufacturing Project Leader will oversee critical IT environments for manufacturing operations, ensuring seamless integration of applications, managing teams, and driving innovation. The successful candidate will have a strong blend of technical expertise and leadership skills to support operational excellence in a highly dynamic manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage IT systems critical for manufacturing operations, including integrations with HR functions (e.g., attendance and overtime systems).
  • Lead production support, deployment teams, and offshore development resources.
  • Oversee integration of manufacturing applications with enterprise-wide systems.
  • Build relationships with third-party suppliers to onboard resources as needed.
  • Create and manage budgets for capital projects, including detailed monthly expense forecasts.
  • Ensure projects align with compliance standards, including ITAR, DFARS, SOX, and disaster recovery protocols.
  • Facilitate B2B partnerships and EDI implementation projects.
  • Drive innovation by identifying opportunities for measurable change and value creation.
  • Develop deep knowledge of manufacturing business processes to align IT solutions effectively.
  • Communicate project statuses regularly to stakeholders and resolve escalations promptly.
  • Inspire cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions, addressing risks proactively.
  • Conduct internal audits and support IT compliance initiatives.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a comparable role.
  • Must meet ITAR compliance (U.S. Citizen, Green Card Holder, Asylee, or Refugee).
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

Preferred Skills and Technical Proficiencies:

  • Advanced experience in IT systems for manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency with SQL, PL/SQL, and database query tools such as SQL Developer.
  • Expertise in programming languages like COBOL, VB.Net, C#, and Java.
  • Knowledge of multiple project management methodologies.
  • Strong business acumen in manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with IT audit processes and SOX compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing systems for HR operations.
  • Leadership experience with proven ability to manage both onshore and offshore teams.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and continuous improvement practices.

Candidate Details
