Area Operations Manager - Radiological Technologist and Sonographer
Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Area Operations Manager to oversee daily operations and supervise a team of Radiologic Technologists and/or Sonographers across the Bay Area. This leadership role involves managing schedules, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining quality standards, and improving operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have experience in a mobile healthcare setting, supervisory skills, and relevant certifications.
Key Responsibilities:Operations Management:
- Plan and implement staffing and schedules across the designated region.
- Monitor performance and forecast personnel and service needs.
- Manage departmental P&L and resource allocation.
- Maintain fleet and equipment schedules, ensuring proper maintenance and operations.
Compliance and Quality:
- Ensure adherence to State Regulations and company policies.
- Retain and monitor dosimetry reports and oversee clinical credentialing.
- Oversee service quality and implement consistent strategies to meet company standards.
Staff Leadership:
- Evaluate staff performance and make recommendations to management.
- Provide coaching and counseling to address performance issues.
- Orient new employees to company policies and procedures.
- Act as a liaison between management and technologists.
Clinical Support:
- Conduct direct clinical interactions, including the performance of studies.
- Provide technical support and resolve clinical problems.
- Perform X-rays and ultrasounds when necessary.
Administrative Tasks:
- Manage supply orders, equipment procurement, and repair within the region.
- Review payroll for resource control and productivity.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
Qualifications:Required Skills and Experience:

Meditech RAD Radiology experience (1+ year).

Supervisory Experience: At least 2 years in a managerial role.

Field Work Experience: At least 2 years in mobile healthcare settings.
- Valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
- Valid Driver’s License (DL) with a clean driving record.
Certifications:
- Compliance with current COVID-19 vaccination requirements.
Preferred Attributes:
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel frequently and manage a mobile team efficiently.
- Proficient in maintaining compliance standards and improving workflows.
- Exceptional communication skills for liaising between staff and leadership.
