Our Award-Winning Client, a nationally recognized leader in the manufacturing and production industry, is seeking a Maintenance Systems Manager to oversee and optimize maintenance systems for production and processing equipment. Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage maintenance events, troubleshoot equipment issues, and oversee a controlled Maintenance Shop.
  • Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans and manage all production and processing equipment for optimal performance and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Operations Management to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and address chronic production and processing issues.
  • Ensure that maintenance activities align with objectives to improve safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Direct day-to-day activities of Mechanical/Electrical Resources, including work assignments, training, and operations.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for maintenance activities, including work orders and budgeting for repairs.
  • Oversee the procurement and management of maintenance-related materials in coordination with the MRO/Stockroom personnel.
  • Maintain adherence to safety, health, and environmental policies, developing and administering robust safety programs.
  • Support company production system initiatives while maintaining the organization and cleanliness of maintenance-related areas.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience maintaining and operating manufacturing equipment, with a strong electrical background.
  • Proficient in Allen Bradley software (e.g., RS Logix 5000, PLC 5, SLC 500 Factory Talk View Software) and Siemens and Sick Safety PLCs.
  • Experience with control devices, instrumentation, preventive and predictive maintenance systems, and CMMS.
  • Strong organizational skills to develop and implement robust planning and scheduling systems.
  • Proven leadership skills to effectively manage Mechanical/Electrical Resources in addressing maintenance issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to empower employees effectively.
  • Preferred experience in a team-oriented culture within a unionized environment.
