Our Award-Winning Client, a nationally recognized leader in the aerospace, aviation, and defense industry, is seeking a dynamic Senior Manager, Environmental Remediation, to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to lead critical environmental remediation projects and develop long-term solutions that minimize environmental risks while safeguarding company assets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead responses and solutions related to CERCLA, RCRA corrective actions, and hazardous waste treatment unit investigations, closures, and reporting to ensure regulatory compliance and minimize impact.
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of legacy sites in various stages of investigation and remediation, including multi-party coordination and replacement water supply agreement negotiation.
  • Develop and implement remediation solutions that align with corporate objectives and reduce regulatory and compliance risks.
  • Negotiate with regulatory agencies and manage compliance with orders, directives, and permits.
  • Fulfill financial assurance obligations and maintain accurate financial documentation, including budget projections, environmental liability reserves, and cost/benefit analyses for business decisions.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, operations, and risk management, to align environmental projects with broader business strategies.
  • Present technical information to regulatory agencies, the public, and other stakeholders in various forums.
  • Integrate and monitor SH&E (Safety, Health, and Environmental) requirements into remediation programs, including job hazard analyses.
  • Oversee internal and external project teams to ensure adherence to cost and schedule commitments in the Annual Plan.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 12 years of related experience OR
    • Graduate degree with a minimum of 10 years of related experience OR
    • In lieu of a degree, 16+ years of related experience.
  • Experience:
    • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Knowledge of environmental liability recognition and reporting requirements for publicly traded companies.
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Professional Engineer or Certified Professional Geologist designation.
    • Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification.

Additional Information

  • Job Schedule: 9/80 (work nine days over two weeks, with every other Friday off).
  • Travel: Up to 10% to manage projects at multiple locations.
