IT Project Leader

Our Award-Winning Client, a nationally recognized leader in manufacturing and production, is seeking an IT Project Leader to join their North American Rolled Products Team in Davenport, IA. Position Overview

The IT Project Leader will manage critical IT environments for supply chain, quality, and plant financial systems. This role is responsible for leading project and support teams, ensuring alignment with business priorities, and fostering collaboration across diverse stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that drive measurable value.

Key Responsibilities

Project and Team Leadership

  • Lead production support teams, project deployment teams, and offshore development teams.
  • Direct team activities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with high quality.
  • Resolve team conflicts and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Regularly communicate project status to steering teams and stakeholders.

IT Environment Management

  • Manage integrations between plant applications and corporate systems.
  • Ensure alignment with compliance standards, including ITAR, DFARS, and SOX.
  • Perform annual system testing for IT and SOX audit compliance and assist with audit processes as required.

Business Collaboration and Innovation

  • Partner with business leaders to prioritize projects and align deliverables with stakeholder needs.
  • Inspire teams to generate innovative, value-added ideas.
  • Build and maintain relationships with third-party suppliers and contract resources.

Technical and Risk Management

  • Develop and manage capital budgets and monthly expense forecasts for projects.
  • Proactively perform risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Support Disaster Recovery testing as required.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Must be a U.S. person under ITAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • Experience in manufacturing, quality, or supply chain systems.
  • Expertise in SQL, PLSQL, and COBOL.
  • Proficiency in VB.Net, Java, C#, or C development.
  • Strong knowledge of plant financial/inventory systems and quality systems.
  • Familiarity with multiple project management methodologies and IT audit processes.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
