We are seeking a Senior Manager of IP Administration to oversee firmwide IP Prosecution (Patent and Trademark) operations. This role supervises docketing, patent agents, law clerks, and IP administrative staff, ensuring efficient processes and compliance across all IP functions.
\nLead and supervise docketing, patent agents, law clerks, and IP administrative staff.
\nDevelop and implement best practices to streamline IP processes and improve efficiency.
\nOversee management of domestic and foreign IP prosecution dockets, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
\nMonitor IP law updates in U.S. and international jurisdictions and advise attorneys accordingly.
\nServe as liaison with internal departments, third-party agencies, and relevant organizations.
\nCoordinate staff training, development, and performance reviews.
\nManage complex IP projects and specialized attorney support.
\nOversee budget planning, expenses, case intake, and file transfers.
\nSupervise IP records management, including the IP file room.
\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
\nMinimum 8 years of relevant IP experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
\nProficiency with Microsoft Office, USPTO website, IP docketing systems (e.g., Inprotech), and electronic IP resources. Familiarity with SAEGIS and Coresearch preferred.
\nStrong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
\nAbility to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
\nFlexibility to work additional hours and travel as needed.
\nBase salary range: $150k – $190k, depending on experience, education, and location.
