We are seeking a Senior International Accountant to join our clients global corporate accounting team. This role will be responsible for the consolidation of international subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP, and supporting the company’s global financial reporting processes. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, a deep understanding of multi-entity consolidations, and experience working in a complex international environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial consolidations of international subsidiaries into the parent company’s U.S. GAAP financial statements.
  • Review local subsidiary trial balances and translate foreign financials into USD in accordance with ASC 830 (Foreign Currency Matters).
  • Ensure all intercompany transactions and balances are properly eliminated in consolidation.
  • Partner with international finance teams to ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and consistent application of accounting policies.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements, footnotes, and supporting schedules for internal management and external auditors.
  • Support the global close process, ensuring adherence to deadlines and company policies.
  • Research and apply technical accounting guidance for complex transactions (e.g., revenue recognition, leases, equity compensation, foreign exchange).
  • Assist in the implementation and improvement of consolidation systems (e.g., OneStream, HFM, Oracle FCCS, or similar).
  • Collaborate with the FP&A team and local finance teams to explain variances and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Participate in audit preparation and serve as a point of contact for external auditors related to international accounting matters.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy in global accounting operations.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Masters degree preferred).
  • 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including multi-entity consolidation and foreign currency translation.
  • Experience in a publicly traded or multinational corporation.
  • Prior public accounting (Big 4 or mid-tier) experience.
  • Working knowledge of transfer pricing, intercompany eliminations, and tax considerations for global entities.
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and familiarity with IFRS.
  • Experience with global accounting systems and consolidation tools (e.g., OneStream, HFM, Oracle, SAP BPC, or NetSuite).
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills; able to handle large data sets.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across time zones and cultures in a fast-paced, multinational environment.
  • CPA (active or in progress) preferred.
