Overview: We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to spearhead our expansion efforts for MEP construction across multiple locations. This role is pivotal in forging and nurturing client relationships, managing the sales pipeline, and securing key contracts within the electrical contracting sector. You will be at the forefront of identifying new business opportunities and developing strategic action plans to achieve company growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as their primary point of contact from initial engagement through to project delivery.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential business opportunities and develop plans to capture new clients and projects.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create engaging materials and proposals that effectively communicate our value proposition.
  • Support business development associates in crafting persuasive proposals and presentations.
  • Assist in budgeting processes and pre-construction coordination to ensure project alignment with client expectations.
  • Maintain and update CRM systems to track client interactions and sales progress.
  • Travel frequently to client sites to ensure consistent engagement and project oversight (15-30% travel required).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in MEP construction estimating, supervision, or project management.
  • Exceptional communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Oracle is a plus).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively with a proactive approach.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members at all levels.

Compensation:

Junior to Mid-Level Candidates: $120K - $160K plus bonuses and equity. Candidates with some sales experience and at least 4-5 years of experience in estimating or project management are encouraged to apply.

Senior Level Candidates: $160K - $190K plus bonuses and equity. Candidates must have experience in electrical construction sales and established relationships with large general contractors.

Relocation assistance is negotiable for junior to mid-level candidates and provided for senior-level candidates.
