This is a great opportunity to work with a growing company in the wine, spirits, or beverage manufacturing industry. The company wants to bring on a full time Director of Project Operations to play a pivotal role in spearheading major initiatives to facilitate the growth of the organization.

Reporting directly to the COO, you will collaborate to implement strategic projects aimed at enhancing our industrial infrastructure and ensuring market relevance. Your primary responsibilities include leading cross-functional teams, analyzing data to drive informed decisions, and overseeing various departments to achieve our long-term objectives in Capsules & Closures.

This will be a fully onsite role with travel required between various facilities.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Continuous Improvement, Maintenance, NPD (New Product Development), and FTS (Full-Time Support) teams to drive technological advancements and potentially establish new operational sites in the USA.
  • Collaborate closely with manufacturing, purchasing, and sales departments to align strategies and achieve company objectives.
  • Drive efficiency improvements and waste reduction by implementing continuous improvement initiatives and optimizing maintenance processes.
  • Champion a culture of Continuous Improvement (CI) by fostering a mindset of productivity enhancement and waste reduction, utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Identify and justify investments and improvements through thorough data analysis, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Oversee the NPD and Design teams to optimize product specifications and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Facilitate effective processes for the closure department, including coordination between operations, engineering, and technology teams.
  • Supervise production managers to optimize production schedules, maximize output, and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards, working closely with the EHS team.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop plans for capital expenditure, process improvements, and HR strategies to support growth objectives.
 
Requirements:
 
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing and project management roles.
  • Experience in the wine, spirits, or beverage manufacturing industry a plus.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to adapt quickly and take initiative.
