Join a dynamic team as a Traffic Project Manager, where you'll engage with a variety of transportation projects alongside state and local transportation agencies. In this pivotal role, you will conduct engineering analyses and produce essential documentation related to traffic safety and operations. You will also oversee the preparation of project deliverables and coordinate with diverse clients. This position is ideal for those with extensive traffic and safety experience and a thorough understanding of local and MassDOT standards.

Location:

This role offers a hybrid work schedule, with office days based in Boston, MA.

Your Role and Impact:

  • Develop and implement strategic project work plans.
  • Oversee project analysis and ensure timely delivery of results.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, senior staff, and external clients.
  • Engage with clients, agencies, and project stakeholders, including the Department of Transportation (DOT).
  • Represent the firm at industry and professional engagement events.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of diverse and progressive civil transportation and traffic engineering experience.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) license preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with public agencies and/or municipalities, with a preference for MassDOT experience.
  • Proven experience in developing plans, analyses, and reports in line with DOT standards and requirements.
  • Exceptional communication and client relationship skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with a history of adhering to design budgets and schedules.
  • Proficiency in project-specific software such as CADD, Synchro, GIS, etc.
  • Ability to work independently, delivering task outputs in a thorough and reviewable manner.
  • Willingness to work at client sites as needed, functioning as an extension of client staff.
