Job Title: Injection Molding Process Technician/SupervisorLocation: Brighton, MIShift: 2nd Shift (4:00 PM – 12:00 AM)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Injection Molding Process Technician/Supervisor to oversee our 2nd shift operations. This role is responsible for setting up, troubleshooting, and optimizing injection molding machines and processes to ensure high-quality production. Additionally, the position involves supervising production staff, ensuring safety and efficiency, and working collaboratively with the production team to meet company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and adjust injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and tools to ensure optimal performance.

• Monitor production processes to ensure consistency in quality, cycle times, and efficiency.

• Troubleshoot and resolve molding process issues, including defects, material flow problems, and mechanical malfunctions.

• Supervise and support 2nd shift production team members, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.

• Conduct mold changes, tool adjustments, and machine startups/shutdowns as needed.

• Maintain and enforce safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.

• Train and mentor machine operators and other team members on proper molding procedures and best practices.

• Work closely with quality control personnel to address any product defects or deviations from specifications.

• Document process changes, production logs, and maintenance reports as required.

• Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to improve overall process efficiency and reduce downtime.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in injection molding process setup, troubleshooting, and supervision.

• Education: High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in injection molding machine operation, mold setup, and troubleshooting. Knowledge of scientific molding principles is a plus.

• Leadership: Prior supervisory or team lead experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Problem-Solving: Strong ability to diagnose and resolve process and machine issues quickly.

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and management.

• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced production environment.
