KIT Recruitment is working with a leading food manufacturing company to find a Dry Goods Shipper Receiver for their meat processing facility in Etobicoke, ON. This role is responsible for the accurate and efficient reception, storage, and retrieval of dry storage raw materials, along with maintaining inventory records and supporting production requirements. The position also involves cross-training in cold storage warehouse duties, ensuring seamless operations across both areas.
Key Details
Hourly Rate: $28.00 per hour with regular performance-based increases
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm (flexible for overtime as needed)
Vacation: 2 weeks annually

Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and store dry goods using forklift, walkie, or manual handling
Deliver packaging materials to production lines and return unused materials to storage
Maintain a clean, organized dry storage area and ensure proper inventory rotation (FIFO)
Conduct regular inventory counts and report stock levels or shortages to the Supply Chain Coordinator
Prepare and submit receiving documentation for processing and invoice payments
Stage and deliver dry goods to production in coordination with Production Supervisors
Retrieve inventory from storage trailers as needed
Participate in reorganization projects to optimize SKU locations and return processes
Identify and manage obsolete items with Production and Supply Chain teams
Cross-train in cold storage duties, including picking orders, loading/unloading carriers, and staging products for shipment or production
Verify incoming and outgoing product quality, documentation, and expiry codes
Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records
Adhere to all health, safety, and quality standards
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 5 years warehouse experience, preferably in consumer packaged goods or cold storage
Valid Forklift certification required (Toyota Sit Down); walkie experience an asset (certification provided on site)
Proficient in inventory control, shipping/receiving processes, and safe lifting methods
Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and basic math skills
Computer literacy (Excel, email) with strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environments
Comfortable working in cold environments (production floor: -1°C to +4°C; freezer: -18°C) and lifting up to 23 kg
