KIT Recruitment is working closely with this large Baked Goods Manufacturer that is conveniently located on bus routes and the HWY 401. They are looking for permanent Forklift Operators in London, ON. Please note, this is a direct hire through the employer from day one!
Forklift Operator – Details:
Shift: 5 days per week - Tuesday thru Saturday:
- 11:30 PM to 8:00 AM (C Shift)
Wage:
- $24.79/hour (probationary rate)
- $27.55/hour (full rate)
Forklift Operator Responsibilities & Duties:
- Staging / set up of packaging materials in respective packaging departments
- Picking and storing of raw materials
- Preparation of next day's receiving tickets
- Receiving of raw materials
- Locating products in the warehouse; use of forklift required
- Order selection and loading of trailers
- Housekeeping of the receiving and shipping areas
- Inventory cycle counts
- Working with power equipment, hi-reach forklifts and walkies
- Adherence to procedures, safety practices and policy
Forklift Operator Position Requirements:
- Forklift certification
- Stand-up reach truck experience, preferably Crown, required
- Comfortable working in cold temperatures (freezer and refrigeration)
- Scheduling flexibility
- Ability to work independently, well organized, effective judgment
- Proficient with computer applications and comfortable learning new systems
- Focused on detail, accuracy, and a strong mathematical aptitude
- Cooperative and works well with others; strong communicator
