We are seeking experienced welders! The ideal candidate will have strong skills in table building and one-off assembly. Candidates with significant industry experience and reliability are preferred. The primary responsibility is to hand-weld components used in the construction of equipment, ensuring quality and productivity from start to finish.
Duties:Including but not limited to:
Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and other related documents accurately.
Set up fixtures and mount parts securely for welding and mechanical assembly.
Utilize hand and air tools such as wrenches, torque wrenches, impact wrenches, screwdrivers, and hammers.
Move and position parts manually or using hoists; parts typically weigh between 25 and 50 pounds, with some components exceeding 50 pounds.
Set up, adjust, and operate MIG welding equipment to weld machine components according to specifications.
Remove welded components from fixtures, clean them, conduct quality checks, and correct any defects or deficiencies in weldments.
Maintain positive and professional communication and relationships with customers, supervisors, and co-workers.
Consistently meet or exceed standards for productivity, quality, attendance, and safety.
Follow all safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of MIG welding experience or completion of a formal welding training program or certificate.
Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.
Skilled in tape measure use and basic measurement techniques.
Capable of handling items weighing over 50 pounds, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning components.
Proficient mechanical skills, including the use of hand and air-powered tools.
Basic clerical, reading, and math skills necessary for job tasks.
Proven work history demonstrating strong self-motivation, reliable attendance, attention to quality, willingness to learn new skills, and a cooperative, team-oriented attitude.
Ability to multi-task, assess situations quickly, and take appropriate action independently.
Work Environment:
Work is performed indoors in a manufacturing plant with no air conditioning, subject to variable temperatures, humidity, noise, and dirt.
Exposure to relatively high temperatures and physical hazards such as powered vehicles, pedestrian traffic, sharp objects, moving machinery, compressed air, and materials handling equipment.
Handling hazardous materials including solvents, oils, grease, paint, and fuels.
Workdays can be up to 10 hours, with overtime as necessary.
