Position: Paralegal – Insurance Defense
Location: Albuquerque, NM
Job Type: Full-Time / In-Office
Compensation: $32 -$35 per hour

A respected, mid size, law firm in Albuquerque is seeking a skilled Paralegal with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Insurance Defense litigation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities for the Paralegal:

• Draft, review, and prepare legal documents, including discovery requests and responses, pleadings, subpoenas, and summaries

• Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including exhibit organization, witness preparation, and deposition summaries

• Manage case files and ensure all documentation is properly organized and filed

• Conduct legal research and summarize findings for attorney review

• Coordinate with clients, witnesses, experts, and court personnel

• Monitor deadlines and maintain case calendars

• Review and analyze medical records, bills, and other case-related documents

Qualifications for the Paralegal:

• Minimum of 4 years of recent experience as a Paralegal in Insurance Defense litigation

• Paralegal certificate or relevant formal training

• Strong knowledge of New Mexico court rules and procedures

• Proficient in legal research and document management software

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Experience with document review platforms and case management systems
