Ascension Search Partners has been engaged to hire a highly skilled, optimization focused Corporate Controller for a private equity backed multi-unit consumer services business. This is a high impact, high visibility role that offers a competitive compensation package.

As Corporate Controller, you will report to the CFO, and lead the Accounting team, overseeing accounting functions. Utilizing your expertise in US accounting standards, you'll drive complex accounting decisions and manage day-to-day financial operations. You'll establish strong internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading financial data accumulation and consolidation for accurate reporting.
• Implementing accounting policies and systems for a robust internal control environment.
• Partnering with the CFO on accounting implications for business decisions.
• Driving operational process improvements and automation.
• Spearheading branch-level accounting and budgeting transition.
• Ensuring timely, accurate consolidated financial statements.
• Providing technical accounting support and perspective on regulations.
• Leading financial planning processes and supporting strategic initiatives.
• Cultivating a strong team and succession planning.
• Coaching and developing the accounting team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar; Master's degree preferred.
• CPA certification required.
• Big 4 public accounting experience and multi-unit organization experience preferred.
• Experience in budgeting function centralization/decentralization.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with senior leadership and thrive in high-pressure environments.
