Chemical Account Manager – Commercial Division

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our Commercial Division. This role is responsible for managing and growing customer relationships, identifying new opportunities, and driving sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Chemical Account Manager to join our growing commercial team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and expanding a portfolio of B2B chemical customers across [insert territory or industry focus], delivering tailored chemical solutions, and driving revenue growth.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical sales, technical account management, or specialty chemicals, with proven success in managing customer relationships, providing value-added technical support, and navigating regulatory and compliance requirements such as SDS, GHS, REACH, or TSCA.

As a trusted advisor, you will collaborate closely with technical service, product management, and supply chain teams to deliver customized chemical formulations, identify new opportunities, and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.

Chemical Account Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary sales contact for assigned customers.

  • Identify growth opportunities and execute strategic sales and marketing plans.

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction and retention.

  • Collaborate with management and global affiliates on market strategy.

  • Manage contracts, pricing, forecasting, and sales budgets.

  • Provide market intelligence and prepare reports for management.

  • Travel domestically and internationally (up to 50%).

Chemical Account Manager Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry (required).

  • ~10 years of experience in the chemical industry.

  • Proven sales and account management success.

  • Strong communication, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Customer-focused, detail-oriented, and able to work under deadlines.

Working Conditions:
Primarily office-based with some exposure to manufacturing environments requiring PPE. Occasional evening/weekend work and frequent travel required.
