Our Award Winning Client, recognized nationally for excellence across multiple sectors, is seeking a driven Environmental Health and Safety Manager. This vital role is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, mitigating operational risks, and embedding a strong culture of environmental, health, and safety excellence across their complex agricultural operations.
Implement, document, and monitor control programs for large-scale facilities with elevated risk profiles.
Lead the development and validation of comprehensive emergency preparedness and response programs.
Conduct frequent assessments to identify risks, hazards, and improvement opportunities, driving proactive risk management strategies.
Deliver targeted training sessions and coaching programs to elevate safety and environmental awareness throughout all organizational levels.
Coordinate and manage thorough audits to ensure full compliance with applicable federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations.
Provide strategic guidance to leadership on environmental, health, safety, and process safety regulatory requirements and best practices.
Facilitate the investigation of workplace incidents, collaborating with external regulatory agencies to determine root causes and ensure preventative measures are implemented.
Continuously evaluate operational hazards and adapt safety initiatives to evolving risk landscapes.
Oversee and mentor internal teams, executing performance management strategies and key talent decisions.
Carry out additional duties and special projects in alignment with organizational goals.
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related discipline — or equivalent experience.
Minimum of four (4) years of relevant industry experience directly tied to environmental, health, and safety practices.
Strong command of scientific and mathematical principles supporting EHS initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to maximize business efficiency through effective and strategic process development.
Robust understanding of industry regulations, including hands-on experience with California OSHA and EPA compliance standards.
Supervisory background with a minimum of two (2) years leading diverse teams, especially through change management efforts.
Proven aptitude for fostering organizational safety culture improvements while navigating complex operational environments.
Professional Experience: 2 to 5 years within environmental health and safety roles.
Leadership: Prior team leadership or supervisory exposure preferred but not mandatory.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.
Travel Requirements: No travel required for this role.
Seniority: Mid-Senior Level
Management Requirements: Management of internal teams preferred but not explicitly required.
