About the RoleThe Product Sales Manager will focus on driving specialty product sales across a designated region or product line, with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences and fostering revenue growth. This role includes relationship management, strategy development, and collaboration to ensure consistent success and long-term client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Core Sales and Revenue Growth

  • Drive revenue growth through upselling, cross-selling, and identifying new opportunities within assigned product lines, including:
    • Modular structures
    • Cold-storage containers
    • Industrial fabric buildings (clearspan structures)
    • Blast-resistant modular units

Strategic Account Planning and Execution

  • Conduct thorough market research and create tailored plans to identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop account-specific sales strategies, monitor progress, and adapt as necessary to meet objectives.
  • Analyze vertical markets to uncover new applications and expand the product portfolio.

Customer Relationship Development

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Engage proactively with customers to understand evolving needs and provide effective solutions.

Product Expertise and Knowledge Application

  • Maintain in-depth technical knowledge of assigned product lines to provide insightful customer support.
  • Serve as a primary contact for specialty customers, addressing inquiries and ensuring satisfaction.

Internal Collaboration and Communication

  • Partner with operational and commercial teams to seamlessly execute strategies.
  • Communicate product updates and market feedback across internal departments.
  • Leverage CRM tools like Salesforce to manage customer data and monitor performance metrics.

Time Management and Focus Areas

  • Allocate time effectively:
    • 50% on client visits and account growth
    • 25% on outbound prospecting
    • 25% on inbound lead management

Skills and Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience with technical or solution-based products (or 3 years within our client’s organization).
  • Demonstrated expertise in written and verbal communication, with comfort presenting at all organizational levels, including executive leadership.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom or Teams.
  • Ability to travel 25%-40% for customer visits, with occasional overnight stays.

Preferred:

  • Experience in cross-selling and leasing strategies.
  • Background in consultative and solution-oriented sales.
