Job Description

Our Award-Winning Client is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist - Cardiovascular Services (Nursing Magnet) to join their team at Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo, CA. This is a full-time, day shift position.

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) in Cardiovascular Services, you will serve as a highly skilled clinical expert and leader, bringing advanced knowledge and expertise to enhance patient care and support nursing staff. Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and leading clinical education programs to strengthen nursing staff proficiency and technical expertise
  • Providing direct and indirect patient care, leveraging advanced clinical skills and evidence-based practices
  • Functioning as a mentor, consultant, and resource for best practices in cardiovascular care
  • Advocating for patients and families, ensuring compassionate, comprehensive care
  • Driving process improvements and quality initiatives to elevate clinical outcomes
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement innovative strategies in cardiovascular treatment and patient care
  • Utilizing data and research methodologies to assess and refine patient care plans

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Nursing
  • California Registered Nurse (RN) License (upon hire)
  • BLS Certification (American Heart Association, upon hire)
  • National Specialty Certification (within 3 years of hire)
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in cardiovascular services
